Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase added a new altcoin to its listing roadmap, according to its official statement.
Per the official announcement, cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase has included the Helium Mobile (MOBILE) altcoin in its roadmap for potential listing consideration.
MOBILE serves as the protocol token of the Helium Mobile network.
The MOBILE token, operating on the Solana network, is generated by 5G-CBRS and WiFi hotspots through revenue from data transfers and Proof of Coverage.
As stated on the official website, the relationship between Helium (HNT) and MOBILE is described as follows:
“Protocol tokens like MOBILE will always be backed by HNT and can be converted into HNT. To achieve this, each network within the Helium Network is allocated a pool of HNT based on its Network Utility Score. The payout rate is determined algorithmically by treasury swap contracts based on this Network Utility Score.”
It should be noted that Coinbase does not guarantee the listing of altcoins it adds to its listing roadmap.
