Nikilesh Stated in a video broadcast that On December 7th, Federal Judge Richard Jones of the US District Court for the Western District of Washington (Seattle) ruled that CZ, Binance’s CEO, cannot go back to the United Arab Emirates before his February sentencing on the mentioned charge. Judge Jones acknowledged the challenge of restricting someone’s travel based on citizenship but emphasized CZ’s unique situation, recognizing a credible concern from the US government. CZ, facing a potential 10 to 18 months in prison, is now required to remain in the US until his sentencing on February 23rd, 2024.
