Cardano (ADA), a well-known cryptocurrency project, has forged a partnership with Petrobras, Brazil’s state-owned energy company. This collaboration will kick off with the inaugural initiative of conducting blockchain training workshops for Petrobras’ employees.
Cardano’s Significant Collaboration
Program participants will delve into the intricacies of the cryptocurrency sector, explore the potential of blockchain, and engage in “interactive quizzes” covering relevant topics. The Cardano Foundation has already organized two workshops in the Metaverse, with one concentrating on global perspectives and regulations, specifically in the Brazil region.
Situated in Rio de Janeiro, Petrobras stands as one of Latin America’s largest companies, boasting over 45,000 employees and an annual revenue of around $125 billion. Participants successfully completing Cardano’s educational program will be awarded a special certificate, and the initial 500 participants will receive a non-fungible token (NFT) to commemorate their accomplishments. Frederik Gregaard, CEO of the Cardano Foundation, emphasized the project’s goal, stating, “Empowerment through education is a central part. Our partnership with Petrobras, a Fortune 500 company and one of the world’s largest publicly traded companies, highlights both the appetite of businesses for blockchain education and the increasing reach of the Cardano Foundation and its mission.”
The Brazilian company underscored the significance of the partnership, characterizing it as “a notable advancement in our mission to harness the power of blockchain for innovative use cases in the energy sector.”
Advancements in ADA
Apart from delivering educational programs in Brazil, Cardano had previously extended such services to the African continent. In April 2021, the project joined forces with the Ethiopian Ministry of Education to establish a blockchain-based national identity system set to benefit 3,500 schools, 5 million students, and 750,000 teachers.Following this, Input Output and World Mobile Group unveiled a partnership dedicated to enhancing access to social, digital, and financial services in Tanzania through Cardano’s blockchain.
